I've had the s24 ultra for a few weeks now the battery life is good i haven't had issues with that so far. I typically use an acefast wire that tells me the charging input for whatever device and when i charge my phone it ranges between 15w and 30w until it reaches full. a few days ago i noticed it was stuck at 8w and wouldnt go above that and the phone wasn't charging well i think it charged maybe 5% at most in half an hour or an hour. i tried different wires (not acefast) and had the same issue then i used that acefast wire on another device and it charged that normally. when i woke up i tried again to charge the phone and had the same issue. restarting the phone seemed to remedy it since it went back to charging regularly after that. it happened again today. both times it happened the phone was around 40% when this was happening not sure if that's a coincidence or a pattern.
i don't know if this means the phone or battery is faulty. i don't want to wait too long until past the point i can return the phone if there is a fault. i also plan to keep this phone for the next few years i don't want to have to deal with this on a regular basis from past experiences any issues i've had with devices only get so much worse with time i'd rather not have to deal with this especially if it gets worse over the next few years.

It could be that your s²⁴ Ultra isn't finding full compatibility with your choice if charging set up @Rwn1
As a process of elimination can you try an official Samsung Charger Plug and cable and wireless charging.
There is a diagnostic tool found in your Samsung Members App.
If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate to ask. 😎

I do not think it is the battery. We do not hear many problems about a faulty battery. There have been some posts about charging issues.
The fact that it gets fix when the phone reboots gives me the idea that it is a bug in the software. If it were a hardware issue, e.g. the battery is faulty, I do not think it will "fix" itself with a reboot.
I have not seen that issue on mine yet, but I was not as lucky as you to get my phone early. I have used a low wattage USB socket on an extension lead and a 100W 3rd party charger and the phone has behaved as expected.
Which charger are you using?

Same issue!! The same charger last week that would take 30 minutes to fully charge now takes 1 and a half hours. Something is not right. It is also happening with my car charger. The issue just started two days ago. Prior to that it has been great.

The phone will be on 50% saying 49 mins until fully charged, but I come back after 30 mins and it's only increased by 9 or 10%.
None of the troubleshooting guides on Samsung website help. Any further suggestions?

Wanted to add that I've noticed the pattern where this happens once the battery reaches 45% when charging. before it'll charge normally but when it reaches 45% it won't charge any faster than 8w but it'll be extremely slow until I restart the phone then it charges normally. it happened the last 2 times I've charged my phone

I've tried different charges when the issue starts happening and it didn't matter. I can try wireless charging but I'm not really a fan of it since it's slower than cable charging usually

I'm using an acefast 100w charger that has a small display which tells me the charging output that's how I know it stays at 8w when this issue happens. I've tried different wires and it was still the same issue only remedy is restarting the phone but I'm concerned if the issue gets worse then even that won't be enough

yeah I've tried different wires too and it was the same with each of them. I wish we could get solid answers this is why I don't buy a new phone as soon as it's out but needed to this time since I was using a borrowed phone after breaking my last one

I've tried different wires too. luckily restarting my phone helps it goes back to charging normally but it's happening more frequently now so I'm worried itll get worse.
I've read others say that when you use smart switch to transfer data from old phone to new it can cause problems haven't seen any confirmation of that though. they said you could fix it by factory resetting but I'd rather not I don't want to go through the process of restoring everything and setting up my phone again. especially if there's no guarantee it'll fix it
