S24+ gets VERY hot when brightness is low

Hello,

       I've noticed recently that my phone will get VERY hot... but only when the brightness is at the lowest setting. I do not understand why/how this happens, but it basically makes the phone unusable at night as with the lights off its blinding unless at the lowest brightness. Anyone else have this issue? If I dont use it for a few mins it cools off, and if I turn the brightness up it does not get hot again, but if I turn the brightness down it does. Do I have a defective unit, or is this a known issue?

If it is defective and you want to make use of your warranty, then I'd refrain from mentioning the fridge bit.

Honestly idek if it's defective or what, but I definitely wouldn't mention it if I sent it in for warranty.

Well, it's certainly not expected behaviour, so I'd be considering having it checked over professionally. You risk further damage to the phone or, worse, a fire.

I am leasing it through T-mobile, I also have the tmobile protection <360> thing. Should I bring it to tmobile to be looked at or, or what should I do?

Yes, If T-Mobile sold it to you, then approach them initially. Don't forget...no mention of the fridge!
