S24+ - colours 'washed out'

I've moved from an S20 (no plus no ultra just 20) where the colours were quite I dunno how you'd describe it, maybe vibrant, popping, deep. It was just a colourful display.

The display on this S24+ just seems dull in comparison, a little washed out. Again, hard to describe it.

I don't know if this is how it's supposed to be or whether the S24+ is obviously on default settings but maybe I changed something on the S20 so long ago that I can't remember.

Make sense?

Just wondering how to improve the colouring, if that's possible?

Hey there

As you know, multiple threads on this and Samsung have this will acknowledged a number of issues.

We are expected a large update next week which Samsung have suggested should fix a number of issues around screen, vivid, cameras and of course the February Security Patch.

Hi @PowderedToastMan

Samsung is implementing a vividness setting to "fix" that and the firmware updated is meant to start from the 22nd of February.

"as you know"
I actually didn't know. My thought was that it is likely to be a setting I've missed so was reaching out rather than a known issue.

Thanks for the info though.

It's out now, it was released overnight in South Korea so you lot will be pleased that it's coming.

Hi

There will be an update from 22nd Feb as stated by Reylob. Hopefully this will rectify all known issues.

There is a search option if you have an issue, or feel free to create a post. We are all Samsung Customers- nobody "owns" this forum or is obliged to reply. If there are a lot of posts on one issue, then only the Moderators can delete or close replies if that is an option for them I guess.

Hi @PowderedToastMan , We all can miss stuff from time to time.

The initial (epic) thread we had on the lack of vividness on S24 displays is here: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s24-series/s24-ultra-washed-out-colours/m-p/9019030 (Which was mainly for the S24 Ultra, so that may be why it passed you by).

And one about the news that Reylob posted above: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s24-series/s24-software-update-imminent-improvements-to-d... (I've edited the title of it a little to improve it's 'searchability'.)

I'll close your thread here to keep the conversation on here tidier for you guys.
