I have had my s24 that I smart switched from my s23. On the s23 I would never have to charge in the day, and often would only charge every second day, now with the s24 I have it on power saver permanently and never make it through the day. The difference is massive and horrible see attached images . It wad so nice on the s23 to finally never worry about charge but now with the s24 I have to take power banks with me.

First thing is to see what apps or themes are using the battery in the list under battery and device care section in settings.
Make sure all apps and phone software are updated

You can also try Wiping the Partition Cashe on the phone

Hi @Phixll

I am assuming that you have had your phone for over two weeks. Is that assumption correct?

Battery performance is a tricky one because it depends on usage. However, I have felt that the battery performance is not as good as my S22 Ultra. After almost two year of use the I was charging the phone every two days or more.

I have not have to charge the S24 Ultra twice in a day, but I have to charge it every day and this not with heavy use.

I hope that this is just optimisation and it will behave similar to previous S Ultras after a few firmware updates.

Hi all apps are updated, and the primary apps using power are the normal apps I used on the s23, since changing over I have removed so many more apps and always have power saver on with no luck, it is a massive difference and very sad ro live off power banks when the phone I had was far superior. My friend got the same phone at the same phone and same issue, they only got the phone because I told them how good the s23 was and assumed the s24 would be better

Let's hope it is an optimisation but at this stage I'm looking to pay the money to downgrade back to the 23 as I can't live on power banks

Try Wiping the Partition Cashe
For me I find both my old S23 Ultra and now my S24 Ultra quite similar with the battery

Wiping the Partition Cashe clears out a lot of old or corrupted information that can cause issues

Follow the steps below. You must follow every step and you should be done in about a minute

Turn off your phone.

Connect your phone with a USB cable
to PC or another Samsung mobile

You will see the charging icon on your screen.
Wait till it shows charging with battery percentage.

Next, press and hold the Volume up and Side key simultaneously.
You can press the volume up button just before the Side key.
The Samsung Logo followed by
Samsung Galaxy appears on the
screen.

At this point, release the keys
Phone will boot into Android Recovery mode

In Android recovery mode, using Volume keys, choose "Wipe Cache
Partition" .
Use the power button to accept that.
You will then see its cleared.

Then the top option, reboot phone.
Press the power button to reboot the phone and then sign in normally

Hi @Glenntech I

I have updated firmware clear cache, cache partition, updated all apps and I have not managed to get similar battery performance to my S22 Ultra with similar settings. I do not have to charge it twice in a day, but definitely, the S24U is not matching the S22U.

There have been few posts about the battery being used more after the last firmware update.

Yes it doesn't come anywhere close to my s23, I never thought about charging at all, when I went to bed at night I'd have about 60% charge still, and now it'd never ending power saving mode and charging phone, it's horrible to have wasted money to have something that is a major inconvenience to my life. I charge the phone in car, and have a power bank , the phone is only three weeks old, unacceptable
