S Pen Battery Indicator

Hi

I have the Circle Battery widget on my home screen which shows the % of the phone and watch. It shows the battery % when I connect earbuds or take the Spen out. 

However, I have noticed the S Pen battery %age is on display even though I do not have it taken out. Is this normal?

I'm just testing this now on my S23U. So, when I replace the S pen the widget continues to show the percentage. But, after a short time the circle will go blank. Now whether that is by design (full charge reached) or a bug I can't say, but it does remain off until such time when i remove the pen. What I can say though is that I can't replicate the same behaviour on my Tab S9U. The circle remains on screen at all times and shows the percentage. Bug?

Hi, do you have the "Keep S Pen connected" option turned on? This keeps the S Pen indicator in the budget widget enabled for me. I normally keep the setting off to help battery life. The setting is under Advanced Features->S Pen->More S Pen Settings.

Thanks JerryS. The setting you mentioned is available on my S23U and yes when toggled on the widget stays lit. When setting is off, the widget goes blank. So thats cleared that up. Like you I keep this setting off to save battery. However, on my Tab S9U there is no such setting, which would explain why the widget is permanently lit. I wonder if that means the S pen is continuously draining the battery?

You're very welcome! Not sure about the Tab S9U, may be it's something different about the way the Bluetooth connection to the pen works as its not embedded?

Yes same thing with me. Widget disappears after a while.
