When I had my old Samsung, A20e I think, I never had a problem with signal at home. Since I changed to an S24, I hardly get one bar. My phone calls regularly cut out. I've tried all the things suggested, reset, switch of and on etc and nothing helps. I am with O2. I haven't contacted them yet, but I feel it's something with the phone. Too much of a coincidence that this happened just as I got a new phone.

Are there maybe problems with these phones?

No, John Lewis. O2 wouldn't sell me the phone I wanted without changing me to a different (and more expensive) contract.

Is one bar only when at home? Try another sim from another provider

I've had the same problem with a S23FE and S24 for the last 8 months. With WIFI on it seems to ignore the weak 1 bar of cellular. I miss calls and the text might come through 20 mins later. Even had the S23 FE replaced in March, still same issue.

When I'm expecting an MFA text I wait a minute then turn wifi off and it comes through.

My SIM (Telstra Australia) in S21 work fine and other SIM cards same issue

Hi @Marnie151

I personally have not experienced issues on my Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra,  which was purchased from Samsung.com.

Also try the sim card in the ²nd sim slot.

I would suggest to run the diagnostic tool found in your Samsung Members App to see what happens if trying the ²nd sim slot does not help.

Also in Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Connections > Reboot your phone.

As mentioned by @Tourbillon De La Vie  👍 do try anjthwr sim in your phone if you can as a troubleshooting step, and if possible try your sim card in another phone.

If your past any relevant cooling off period with John Lewis,  then seek support from a Samsung Service Centre.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

So tonight I played around with some settings on my phone. If I switch WiFi off on my phone then the 5G icon appears. But as soon as I reconnect my phone to my WiFi, 5G disappears. Is my WiFi interfering with my phone signal?
