Rcs messages

Hi there Samsung people, I've recently bought an S24 and my daughter has in iPhone, she can react to my txt messages but I can't react to hers, I've turned on Rcs messages, I've checked my number (it's correct) and I've verified it too, it will not work, I know it's not an important feature but it's frustrating me that I can't use it? Any ideas are much appreciated 🫶🏻

Hey there

This is one of the reasons I don't use RCS messages. I find them unreliable.

For myself I stand by the tried and trusted SMS using the Google messaging app (Samsung may be retiring theirs next year in some parts of the world).

Thank you for replying, I do like the reaction feature that is used on WhatsApp, this is why is was trying to enable rcs

Are you using Google messages? Some networks don't support RCS with samsung messages. It's also a new phone, meaning it can take Google a while to connect you to RCS. RCS for me is working fine with my two sons IPhones who are with giff gaff. My daughter who is with Vodafone it does not. Guessing waiting for Vodafone to support it with iPhone. All can say is just wait for Google messages to connect. Could be 24 hours to 14 days I read on a reddit post.

Yes I use Google messages, I've tried literally everything 😂 I'm with sky mobile so is my daughter but she has iphone, it's so annoying, it says connected on the rcs messages but I don't know what else I can do, it's baffled me 😳😂

I know the feeling, had trouble with RCS for 4 months a couple of years ago. Just would not connect. So you are connected it just isn't working?. Might be worth looking up on reddit. I found reddit very helpful when I was having issues.

Yes it says connected I've looked on reddit, YouTube google etc I've only had the phone about 6 weeks so I'll just keep trying, it's maybe just a glitch at the mo for me, thanks for replying tho it's much appreciated 👍🏻

Not so sure sky don't support as it's working for your daughter. I know giff gaff literally have just given support on the iPhone. Rcs for them wasn't working a week or so ago, but it is now. Hope you find a solution though.
