Quick Share Issues

I thought it was just a 1 time issue however now it seems quick share isn't working. I was trying to send something over to my tab s6 because I need the image on a bigger screen. I've restarted the devices and done everything that's been suggested and it simply has not worked. Is anyone else having this issue with quick share not working? 

Before anyone asks the questions I know will come up:

- Yes, I have the devices close to each other with a stable Bluetooth and Internet connecting: both of them have "everyone" as who can send files over. 

- Both devices have Quick Share up to date. I checked the version data and checked that it didn't need updating.

- I have restarted both devices, turning them on and off and hard restarts. 

- I have cleared the cache, and I tried turning flight mode on and off too.

I'm just getting frustrated because sending it by email and by WhatsApp is a big inconvenience.

They're both on the same WiFi too, I've tried my home WiFi and the WiFi at my institute and neither have worked

Did you figure it out? I found solution for mine. 5Ghz wifi had DFS 52 channel which does not work with quick share somehow. Can creat wifi hotspot on tab if it has on phone hotpot might work too.
