Hi,
Quick share in my galaxy s24 ultra is not receiving folders. It is sending it with no problem and receiving and sending multiple files as well. But the only problem is that it is showing nothing when a folder is sent. Please advice.

From the sounds of it, it's your S9+ that's at fault. The older version of Samsungs file manager on that phone is not sending the filing structure, not the S24 as you've clearly deduced.

Yes indeed, as s9 plus does not support the latest version of my files by samsung. I am trying to send the apk file of latest samsung's my files to s9+ and see it i can install it and then it might work.

Hi, I just tested this. S23U to Tab S9 Ultra. Using Samsung file manager. Using a folder physically stored on the S23U (internal storage), it xfered across and was received by the Tab S9 Ultra as a folder with same name and with all files intact. Even worked the other way.
However, if I choose a folder that is stored in the cloud (albeit still in Samsung file manager), then only the files are xfered ( into a folder named Quick Share).
In light of this, can you check the source of the folder you want to xfer. If it's physically stored in the phone, it should be okay, but if linked to the cloud, then maybe not?

Thats true, but for old version of file manager. For newer version, it is transfering data even from external sources (in my case an external hard drive), i am not sure about cloud storage though.
So overall, quickshare will tranfer folders but the file manager has to be samsung's latest file manager version 15 in both the devices, which is only supported by android 13 or later.

👍 Does seem to point to the old version of File Manager then. At least this rules out your device being the problem.

It's not that specific actually. I have tried with my Note 10+ 5G which is running version 13.1.03.501 of Samsungs MY Files on android 12, and it transferred folders and files perfectly fine.

Thats even better. If you can suggest me any way to install this version on my s9 plus, that would be a great help.

You might be better off attempting with a different file manager. I'll see if I can dig up an alternative.
