Pinned apps

I noticed on my S23 Ultra that pinning an app for a little security when showing others your phone was pointless, as the phone would tell you how to unpin the app.

The S24 is no different; there is no change to this feature, even if you turn off the Always-On Display it still tells you how to unpin the app. Should be a pin or finger print.

Look, if you pin an app. the phone tells you what to do to access it. I'm not on about a locked phone. I'm talking g about the feature to pin an app. They are two different things entirely

It should say how to unpin an app. Why not. Having the pin ensures that pinned app is serving the purpose of preventing access to other apps or services

What part of what I'm saying, aren't you understanding? Even with the ask for pin to unpin the pinned app. I dont need to enter a pin in to unpin the app. The phone is telling me how to unpin the app. I can't put it clearer than that . I know what it's supposed to do.

Well, you give the phone with the pinned app protected with the pin to a third person. They unpin the app and then what? There is nothing they can do to the phone or even go back to the the app they unpinned. It is a non issue

I dont wish to be rude, but either read properly what I'm saying or go and bother someone else. I can pin the app with a locking pin number, and it can still be unpinned by the other person. The phone tells them how to do it. No pin required.

I'm only stating my opinion, that to my mind, being shown how to unpin an app is a non issue. And, why it is a non issue.

The idea of pinning an app is to lock that app ,so you can give your phone to another, and they can't look at anything else. In other words, they can only see what you want them to. Say maps or the news, for example. If they can look at anything because that app is not secure, there's no point in pinning it, is there.

Just tried this for the first time. Unpinned the app and it took me straight to the lock screen. So device is secure. What am I missing here?
