Photo quality from Google Photos

Hi all,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and have recently upgraded to a S24 Ultra. When looking on the S24 at my old photos on Google photos there is quite a difference than when viewing from my S21. It's better on the S21! Does anyone know why? The quality looks the same, definition etc but the colour saturation is different.

Are the photos on the 21 ultra the original photos in full resolution, but when moved over to the S24 the reduced quality version pulled from the cloud? I know you said definition looks the same but it's possible

Hi.

Samsung has since moved to more muted and natural colours from the s9 > S21 > s24.

People did make a big hu ha about it and then then gave the Vivid option back under display settings.

So if it's not on already maybe try to put it on Vivid.

The S24 series just has too many variables when it comes to display settings.
So you will have to do a trial and error depe ding on your taste.

The photos were taken on the S21. They're stored in Google photos and the properties have the same MB etc so I'm not sure why they look different.
