Hi, I'm sure this has been asked before. I myself have tried using bixby routines to solve it, but it just doesn't work. I just want to be able to keep the screen on during a phone call. I don't make long tel calls so battery isn't an issue. I just find it annoying to gave to keep pressing the on/off button if I want to see or use the screen.

@GuzziBoy: Our Galaxy mobile devices have a proximity sensor which will switch off the screen when the phone is held to your ear. This is to prevent accidental button presses while on a call, and cannot be disabled in the phone's settings.

As a workaround, please head to Settings > Lock screen and AOD > Extend unlock, and follow the on-screen prompts. This keeps the phone unlocked while you're holding it, when you're near home or another trusted place, or your watch or another trusted device is nearby. I'm not certain if this will override the proximity sensor, but it is worth exploring as an option. It will certainly be of use to you if you place the call on 'Speaker', and the phone is away from your face.

Hi thanks for that. I just about always use the speaker so I'll check it out and see if it works, I've got my watch as well so I'll have a play. Thanks again.

You can keep the screen on but you have to keep showing your face so the camera can pick out your face. It's toggle off and on in screen time out settings under display settings.
