Phone call issues 24 fe

I got a Samsung Galaxy 24 fe at the end of November. I am having issues with phone calls. I can hear people but they cannot always hear me. They tell me I keep cutting out. I am on the same network as my previous phone which was an LG and didn't have this issue. The issue is inconsistent but happens often enough to be a problem.

Koodo tech told me to turn on Wi-Fi calling but my phone won't keep that feature on even though it's showing as on in my settings. So if I make a call it doesn't automatically use Wi-Fi calling. Another Koodo tech turned off 5G and that didn't help. Not sure what else to do. I could get a cellphone booster but those appear to be hundreds of dollars which is frustrating.

Hi @Stina222 and warm greetings 👋

Have you tried reseting your network settings? Under general management > reset > reset mobile and network settings.

Wipe cache partition:
Tuen off your device. Plug your phone to PC, tv etc via USB Then press and hold power button and volume up button until samsung logo appears Then quickly release power button and keep holding volume up button until reboot menu appears then navigate with volume down button till wipe cache partition confirm this and restart your phone.

Check 3rd party apps if it might cause this issue in safe mode:
https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/

Try inserting sim card to different sim card slot and make sure there's no damage to your sim card. Also contact your network for any issues they might have

Make sure there's no derbis and nothing covering microphone.
And make sure adjust volume in calls with volume up buttons.

Try soft reset press and hold volume down and power button simultaneously for 10 seconds until samsung logo appears.

Also ypu can go settings > sounds and vibration > volume and adjust from there.

Will doing any of these things cause me to lose any of my settings or information from my phone?

Hi @Stina222 and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum Section for Uk and Eu Members 👋

If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.

None of your information will be lost if you try the suggestions by @lminvti  👍

If you reset the Network Connections then you will just have to Possibly reset your Wi-Fi connection to your Home Router again.

To add there is a diagnostic test tool found in your Samsung Members App.

Samsung Help Link  > https://www.samsung.com/africa_en/support/mobile-devices/what-to-do-if-your-microphone-or-speaker-is...

A Samsung Service Centre can assess your phone.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

Yes I had the same issue with mine. I was blaming my network operator in Brazil but I realized that my friends using the same operator were not facing the same problems.

Now read this: My phone was stolen 20 days ago. Since I could not stay whithout a phone unit samsung care decides to send me a new one I bought a motorola edge 50. A phone that in Brazil is priced 1/4 of the price of the new S24 ultra that I had. I haven´t had a single issue with calls since I transfered to this phone. But this is not all. With the S24 ultra I could´t get decent signal here in my house even with 3 or 4g. Yes the level of the signal is weak to be honest. But I could not make any calls if not using Wifi calling. And even with wifi calling my calls were dropped suddenly.  Now with Moto One 50 I can get at least 3 bars of signal in 4g and guess what ??? I can get 5g signal ! Its very weak but I never saw a 5g icon on S24 ultra. So even the reception on that phone is a problem. If you have the opportunity try to compare your reception with a different brand of smartphone.
