I have a lot of customizations on my phone and don't like taking the risk of losing them.

I have a lot of apps and app pairs in Edge panel and a bunch of easy access apps on my Lock screen.

I also use Microsoft Launcher and have 20+ apps as well as a handful of folders in my Dock tray.

My insurance in case those customizations are not brought over to my next phone - screen shots of all my Home pages along with all my stuff.

I have screenshots of everything saved into an Album In Gallery.

That's it, a tip for those of you who haven't thought of this.

And a fantastic tip too @davehorne  👍

Personally I have only a handful of downloaded apps which I use regularly.

I do back them up to Samsung Cloud however as a creature of habit I know what all my apps are.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I don't know what launcher you use, but the MS Launcher doesn't bring over browser links that you saved to the Home screen.  (I also use launcher backups and Samsung backups.)

I have a few sites I always use and they either don't have an app or because I live over here, I can't use use their app and I'm forced to save a browser link to Home page.  The MS Launcher won't save those links.

Look in the settings of the launcher app itself and see if it has a backup section. It maybe under a couple of menus. Also back up your Samsung account if you cannot see anything in the app and main settings on the device. If you cannot find it, search online to see if it has one. If that all fails contact the app creators on the actual app page in the store. There will be details on how to at the bottom of the about section of description. If it's been discontinued and there is no feature to do so. All you can do it back up your Samsung account and make sure there is an option that covers that and make sure you select that to backup.

I know nova launcher has an option to back up everything you have done in the launcher its it's app Settings. So I'm guessing mircosoft would have that option in their launcher settings anyway. Is it still giving updates and being worked on? As I'm sure I heard it was a forgotten project. But that was years ago. Just see their app page and version it's on if can't find it and search for fhe latest version number of Ms launcher on Google or bing if you want that info.

Some good tips here, think my screenshots are a bit more limited that some though. personally I do not like my Home screen to be too cluttered.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.
