I believe that phone is an EE phone. So made for an EE sim card. If you don't currently have an EE sim card in it, that might be the cause of your update issue
I am on 3. Data works perfectly fine, I can send messages and make calls, so I don't believe it is locked with any particular provider if that's what you are referring to 🤔
Ah, not saying it's carrier locked. I'm saying the "EVR" in "service provider software versions" in your screenshot means the phone was made for EE. So updates could break if not used with an EE sim. That's kinda the only thing I can see that might cause your issue.

Understood. I could get an EE sim and give it a try. The whole thing is odd... If I would've gone for a new s25 ultra instead probably I would probably not have all these issues, but some features were removed from it that I liked, so I am waiting for the next ultra/fold 🥲 Anyway, I was thinking the region doesn't match since it says EUX
This is my CSC code. The missing code where the - is just means there's no second SIM in it. I'm not sure the last code EVR really matters. I had a US spec phone that had VZR at the end which is Verizon but the rest read XAA which is US unlocked and that updated ok with a UK SIM in it.
