No notifications on Lockscreen

Hi all, new S24 Ultra user here. 

Despite having it turned on in my Settings, I'm not getting visible notifications on my Lock screen. The phone makes a sound, but there's no visible indication of having received a notification. 

So if I've been away from my phone, upon my return I always have to unlock to see if I've missed a notification. 

Any ideas please?

Have you got the new feature in the settings Manage notications categories for each app turned on. It's a new feature if not toggle it on then you should get every notications coming though.

Yes, I have notifications turned on for all the desired Apps, but still nothing visible on Lockscreen. I get the audio notification, but nothing visible.

Firstly, are you using Always on Display, or just lockscreen ?

Also, like Keith30 mentioned, have you enabled the highlighted settings as per the screenshot ? If you have, you'll get the option in the next screenshot .

From there you can allow or disable which app notification you choose to show on your lockscreen

Always On Display is turned on.
Lockscreen Notifications are turned on.
And yes, I have enabled the settings you've highlighted.

Ok, thanks for confirming. Could you give an example of an app that doesn't give you a visual indication? Also, do you get an icon visible in the status bar when a notification arrives ?

None of my apps are giving a visual indication on the Lockscreen. It's weird. I also have an old A52 5G and that's fine.
I've tried to directly compare the Settings pages but the Android is slightly different-looking on the two phones.

Another possibility is the option in Wallpaper settings. If you touch the lower image on the lockscreen you can choose to enable or disable icons there

Hopefully you'll be notified of this reply ! (just a heads up, when replying on here, either press reply or tag the user or else they won't be notified at all, regardless of which settings they have ! )

Whilst on the subject of notifications, settings etc, it would be good if Google and/or Samsung paid attention to issues such as yours. There's far too many options within various menus and apps to achieve a simple goal such as being notified silently or even notified at all
