Hi. I have already posted about this before. when I updated my s24 to one ui7 it made my lock screen disappear. It will do it when its charging or when I get a notification. I have joined the one ui8 beta and its still doing it. I have updated to the latest version.
Has anyone found a way to stop this from happening?

Hi @Citydude

Joining the Beta program might add some complications. Beta firmware have more bugs than stable firmware.

Have you tried clearing the cache partition or factory reset?

Does it happen when on safe mode?

Do you have some theme or configuration app? I have a S24 Ultra and I never have seen this issue.

To clear device cache, one needs to boot on recovery mode.

  • Connect the S24 Ultra to a PC, phone or similar device.
  • Turn off the phone.
  • Press volume up and side key (power key) simultaneously until Samsung logo appears.
  • It should boot into the recovery mode, if not, repeat until it does.
  • With volume keys navigate to Clear cache partition.
  • side key to select
  • volume key to navigate to yes
  • side key to select.
  • reboot phone by selecting the restart phone.

To boot on safe mode:

  • Swipe down the screen to get the drop down menu.
  • Tap the power icon
  • Press and hold the Power off icon until safe mode is shown
  • Tap Safe mode and the phone should restart on safe mode, check that you do not have the issue.

Factory reset would be a last resort action. If you do, please DO backup all your data, it will be lost with a factory reset.

I don't think you understand. This was an issue when I updated my phone to the stable version of one ui 7 and it still sn issue on the one ui 8 beta

I did understand that the issue started with the stable version of One UI 7. However, joining the Beta program and using a Beta firmware might make it more difficult to troubleshoot. By its nature, it could introduce more variables in the mix and isolating the problem could be more complicated.

I am using the stable version of the One UI 7 and have not seen the issue.

Have you tried clearing cache partition, safe mode or factory reset? Have you installed a theme or app that changes the configuration of the phone?

I have already cleared the cache before. I'm not going to factory reset my phone due to how long it will take to get everything back. I have a samsung wallpaper on and I have a theme on but I did that after this issue started to happen

You could try booting on safe mode. If the issue is not present on safe mode, then it is very likely that an app is causing the issue. It might be configuring something the wrong way.

Backing up to the Samsung and Google account could simplify the restoring of the phone or SmartSwitch. Contacts, Messages, accounts, Wi-Fi, etc, settings will be restored in the process. You might need to do messaging apps like WhatsApp by hand.

I agree with you, factory reset is a pain, but sometimes is the only solution.

Just did a safe mode and it didn't do it but it usually does it when I get a notification so I will see what happens now

No issue in safe mode points back to what is currently active. Can you you use default theme, icons and simple lock screen layout. I use Goodlock and Lockstar apps to customise
