I followed the steps :
Go to settings.
Select 'lock screen.
Screen lock type.
Enter your 4 or more digit pin.
Select PIN.
Enter 4 or more digit pin again (you'll need a 6 digit or more pin to see the box ref not needing to press ok)
Make sure 'confirm pin without tapping OK is checked.
...............................
This only works when I enter 6 digit code and not 4 as I usually do. I do use fingerprint but will be putting tempered glass screen protector soon and I will need to use the code, having to tap ok every time it's really frustrating. Is there a glitch or something?

Regarding this matter, I'm annoyed with Samsung. I don't understand why the company takes liberties and doesn't allow the user to assume the informed risk of using a 4-digit PIN without having to press OK. Samsung forces you to use 6 digits. This is irrelevant if I always carry my phone with me and want to assume the risk.

It enhances security because the length of your pin is not known when you need to press the ok button. If you do not have to confirm with ok, the attacker enters as many digits as needed until the message "incorrect pin" is shown. That way he knows how many digits your pin has which significantly reduces the number of trials to guess your pin.

Your answer is incorrect. This is not the point.
