Just upgraded from an s21 couple days ago and since I've had this s24 I cannot stop noticing stuttering and lagginess in the ui. What is this?
Even when using the keyboard sometimes it stutters or when searching for a app in settings it will stutter whilst I type.
Not to mention the scrolling lag in apps or when closing certain apps
and/or when opening google feed news.

Is my device faulty or is this a known issue? I'm really considering taking the phone back for replacement.
Can someone shed some light?

Firstly welcome to this great community.
If you transferred data from the old phone. It's probably worth Wiping the Partition Cashe on phone.
I have the S24 Ultra and it runs really smooth. Your S24 should as well.
I personally prefer to setup my phone from backup these days, as transferring data I find can cause issues
But try wiping the Partition Cashe first and see how you get on

1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer USBC to USBC (you may also connect to another Samsung mobile via USBC). Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Looks complicated
But will take about a minute to do
The data on your phone is perfectly safe
Just clears out the rubbish for want of a better explanation

So I've just done that, I can't say for certain it did anything but scrolling through yt feels alright, the keyboard still stutters when I go search for an app in settings though, maybe let it set for a while and I'll come back to this thread. But yeah when I bought the phone I literally transfered the data with smart switch straight away as I booted the phone from the box, maybe I should've waited. Maybe I'll do a factory reset and see of that does anything.
Thank you for helping though guys, you've been very swift with the replies 👍 I appreciate it

Hello. I've been having the same issue and tried posting on another forum.
I have tried wiping the partition cache and it did nothing.
I've been told to do a factory reset but obviously reluctant. At this point I am wondering if it is faulty? I've seen this fault complained about a lot since the release of the S24 range.
My phone has issues with music playback either from the phone or from Spotify. The keyboard lags. Scrolling. Watching videos. It's very annoying. It has also stopped responding completely about 6 times and restarted itself.
