I can see the pixels on my S24 Ultra and it's driving me insane! 🤪

Image is for illustrative purposes only.  It is not accurate.

I thought I was going crazy because my new Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra's display looked a tiny bit pixelated. It looks like a subtle version of the old CRT TVs with the scan lines. I did a side by side comparison with my old Note 10+ and I confirmed that there is something going on with the S24Ultra. The Note 10+ looks smoother. This is very disappointing considering that my priority in a phone is image quality. Is there a way to get rid of this look, please let me know. I already changed the resolution to maximum quality.

I went to the Samsung store and compared their phones to mine.  All of their S24 Ultras have this weird looking display.  My theory is that it comes from the new anti-glare technology that they built into the S24 display. Which is a real bummer since no one asked for it and it detracts from what everyone really wants: better image quality.  It's honestly making me think of switching to iPhone.

Just as a test you can invoke colour test panels which should hopefully help @armandofeatures

In your phone dialer app key in *#0*#

And scroll through the colour panels a few times.

Also we are set to see a software update around the ²²nd of February which may help.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Mine is the same - very flat and grey. My iPhone 14 pro max looks far better. So I'm hanging on to that until samsung sends out a fix. It's a pity AI doesn't kick in, to sort it out, it interferes with everything else!

I can see pixels on every screen. I'm not sure what makes the S24 Ultra unique in this regard. I mean you can't display any image without pixels so...

I can't actually take a screenshot of the problem because it only appears on the S24 display but here is a simulated version I made in Photoshop.  When you look closely at small details such as icons,  there are tiny noticeable dots.

It seems you have a defective screen. This isn't something noticeable on my own S24 Ultra. Honestly speaking, I think it's their best screen yet. Font and text look the clearest I've ever seen.

I recommend doing a side by side comparison with a different phone.  It's hard to tell without something to compare it to

I just got this phone. It has great performance and a great design but what is wrong with the display? I can see the pixels. It's reminiscent of the scan lines on an old CRT TV. And yes, I have it set to the highest resolution. I can't take a screen shot because it only appears on the S24 display but here is a simulation that I photoshopped in order to show what I mean

I have an S21 Ultra and Note 10+ 5G, as well as having had the S23 Ultra before I traded it in. Side by side it's just as clear, maybe even sharper as text looks better.
