I apologize if I might have asked this in the wrong forum as I cannot find a right forum that fits this question, so I chose the newest one. Anyways, will future phones have a heart rate sensor built in the future or will we need to use a galaxy watch? Last time a phone came with a sensor was the S21, which was about 3 years ago! I might have a similar question with if future phones will be getting a FM radio built in it, with the last one being the S21 and the A15. Any answers will be appreciated.

These are just my inputs... not necessarily based on the stance from samsung, as I am only a consumer and buyer like you.

Heart rate. An accurate sensor is a must, if the device is going to pass the regulatory requirements to state the heart rate health function. Heart rate is very hard to measure with consistent results. The Galaxy watch range have become increasing better over recent years, but even now they are not as good as a polar chest monitor or a dedicated device. I very much doubt that any phone will have this function again. Certain devices like the watch range and the new ring sensors already have this space.

FM radio. The reason I believe is that a wire (wired heaphones) was required to pick up FM radio... the coax wire being used as a kind of antenna. So when devices lost their 3.5mm jack and the radio channels more often available over an Internet connection using digital channel apps, then this is not really a function seen to be needed anymore.

So my own opinion (from engineering background) is NO and NO.

Just to add I think these  features are now  basically redundant on smartphones    (even if it was important to some customers).

With regard to the Heart sensor   Smartwatches /Rings are more accurate  (even if not medical devices)  and the vast majority of customers who are interested in Heart Measurements will have moved on to these Devices which have a lot more  Health functions. It also frees up some  space in Smartphones and cannot see the Sensors returning.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Hi.

As my fellow members have mentioned. Sensors relating to medical as stuff like heart rate sensors are now no longer available on phones.

Your best bet would be a galaxy watch or / and the smart ring.

I'd strongly suggest you try any Samsung watch from the 6 series or the newer 7 series.

It will open a whole new world for you, especially if you have a phone from the S24 series or the upcoming S25 series.

The S21 series although a very good phone is kinda redundant now with upcoming technology and will probably struggle to catch up past next year given that it's on it last OS upgrade.
