Gyro Issue on Galaxy S24 Ultra During Gaming - Unstable and Erratic Behavior

Hey everyone,

I'm facing an issue with the gyro on my Galaxy S24 Ultra while playing games. The gyro seems really unstable and doesn't function properly. It's acting as if I'm touching the screen in two places at once, causing erratic movements in-game.

This makes aiming or controlling certain functions nearly impossible, especially in games that rely heavily on precise gyro controls. I've tried restarting the phone and ensuring my software is up to date, but the issue persists.

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, do you know of any potential fixes? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hi @FSHER and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum Section for Uk and Eu Members. 👋

I'm sure you've already looked into the Game Booster Settings already.

To be honest I'm not that much of a gamer on my phone, so as such I really do not play resource hungry games on it.

Is this happening on a particular game or all of the games you play ?

Just as a starting point perhaps try >  Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

This might be a question both for the game developers and Samsung via your Samsung Members App 🤔

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

It happens only on the games that are heavily gyroscope dependent like PUBG or COD Mobile

Did you also approach game developers? Maybe they can too optimise something their end

I would have approached already if it was in one or two games, but every game that uses full gyroscope it does this.

Hey everyone,

I have already posted this issue, but didn't get any positive feedback. I would like to include some videos and updates about the issue.

Thanks for your time I have tried the repair but the issue I'm having is not mention there in the troubleshoot menu and also there nothing about it in the threads as well.

Hi @FSHER , I've merged your two topics to keep it all in one place.

Have you run a hardware diagnostic in 'Samsung Members > Support > Phone diagnostics > Sensors'? What are the results you get from that? (Might also be worth running the hardware test for the touchscreen in there... just in case it's that and not the gyro.)

I have tried both the screen and sensor tests, which shows normal. I only face this issue while playing games where I use gyro. If I turn off gyro, everything works fine
