If you use a pc you can quickly format it to make it work again.

There's not a way to fully lock a usb drive. Guessing the drive is just setup in a way that android doesn't understand how to write to it anymore

Is there a small switch located on the flash drive? Sometimes this can be accidently knocked to the lock position. Also, there are some Third party apps you could use that will blitz the thing. I had a similar issue myself with a second hand drive i was given. I used Ease US and it worked for me

It has paid features, but if it's just a 16gb drive then it will be free. If it asks for any personal information like an email just use a temporary email. 👍
