1. Make sure you keep checking for app updates both in Samsung and Google play store.
2. Also check for software updates and Google play security updates under settings.
Currently both should be on July.
Now and then consider restarting your phone.
3. Also poor signal could heat your phone up and crash Google maps etc.
Consider downloading offline maps if it the case.

Still freezes and I've got to restart the phone anyway as it has frozen.

If you did and it's still freezing, then consider factory reset. Back up first.

You could try resetting your settings only under reset and see if it helps.
Also if you transferred apps from an old phone could be an issue.

I have tried all the above fixes but nothing works google maps is impossible to use as I am losing signals for more than a minute on my S24 and S24+, samsung has refused to fix this issue as they think this is google maps issue because other thirdparty apps works ok like waze, what is the service relation between samsung and google as without a google usename we can't login to these devices, and when it cone for the service they put their hands up, i am frustrated after paying top dollar for the s series devices there is no support from google.

I do have the same problem here. I sent phone to Samsung for repair and So I just received it and a response from Samsung's partner company that does the repairs, they sent the phone back to me without any repair saying there is no problem and everything works while the problem persists so I don't know what I should do. And from the google side it seems to be a Samsung Android Security Patch and an update is needed. It's a recurring problem lately.
