Google Assistant isn't responding to anything

Hello. I'm currently using a Samsung S24U. Today, my Google Assistant isn't responding to anything. If I say "Hey Google," it comes up with the sign that it's listening, but there's no response. I've sent feedback to the Assistant, but I'm not sure how it works. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you fix it?Thank you

After searching for solutions all day, I discovered that all I needed was an update. Since there was no option to do so on the assistant app, I decided to update Google itself. It worked perfectly!

It might be worth turning the assistant off and then back on as a starting point @shamma 

And or a soft reboot by turning the phone off and on.

Hi. I've done the reboot but it is still the same. I'm not sure how to turn off this assistant. Will have a look. Thank you for the suggestions

I think you should reported via the Members app. Open the app, tap the support tab, scroll down to feedback section and error report.

Hi @Reylob. Thank you for your response. I checked the link, but it's not quite the same as my problem. Everything seems fine on my end, such as voice commands and permissions. However, the issue is that it doesn't respond. When I say "Hey Google," it comes up with the usual screen and then nothing happens. I've checked all social media to find a solution, but I haven't had any luck.

Did you try clearing the cache of the app and/or cache partition?

If I were you, I would send an error report on the members app and to the assistant. You might get a solution faster that way

I tried to send an error report on the member's app however it asked me to give access to pretty much everything which I'm not comfortable sharing. As it's my first time hence not sure what to do. May I know how can I send an error report to the assistant?

The send feedback on the message is a link, is it not? I guess you could send some feedback that way.. alternatively, you could go to Google play search for assistant and get contact details from it.
