Get smart select back

Can we get smart select back it was really nice to have a feature where i could go to image grab the part of it i wanted and crop the background out. Now with ai select there is no way to grab something with out the ai messing up the one part of the image I wanted. At least add an option I'd you wanna generate or just save the image.

I may have replied rashly and hastily to your comment without first realising yku wernt from samsung , sorry bout that . As yku can see I'm a bit cheesed off with updates constantly  changing things yku get used to .

Please bring it back. The AI Select tool is too slow and useless for my usage. The speed and precision I had with smart select is missed dearly. Just give us the option to use Smart Select or AI Select!

I still have smart select on S21 ultra on OneUI 7. It's SAME as AI select, but without AI features 

 

 

 So you can see, it's NOT DIFFERENT  between smart select or AI select on OneUI 7

I have the S22 Ultra, so that's probably why I'm seeing something different. When I select the AI Select tool, it takes a second or two for it to just initialize and analyze what's on my screen and then asks me to draw a selection. Finally after drawing it I will actually see a selection box. This entire process is needlessly time consuming and a step backwards

AI select has everything that smart select has, but it's better because it offers depending on what you marked (that can be only text, so AI won't suggest you generate image), while smart select isn't that smart

Sorry mate, not trying to start a fight here. Just trying to highlight that give the users an option where they can toggle between AI Select and the older Smart Select . Different people have different preferences, and to you those 2 to 5 seconds may not be annoying, but for me it is pretty frustrating. So being able to use Smart Select without AI is more beneficial for my use cases compared to you

Even with smart select, you would wait two seconds, because the panel is exactly the same as AI select, but without the AI ​​options, but also, when you start it, you have to wait two seconds until it lights up along the edge, just like with AI select.

Yes, I totally will miss that plane! It is no joke, mate. Those 1-2 seconds on each load are making a whole minute when I need to make 30 clips to create a comparison or shopping note, and the experience of neat and seamless note creation with Smart Select was made far less seamless with AI Select. Even Screen Write is faster than AI Select. That is not normal, and would be acceptable only on the terms that we would have opportunity to use the superior Smart Select if we want to.

please give us the "smart select" back. I don't want the downgrade "AI select", you should have given users both the old and new options so if anyone wants to revert to the old "smart select", they can.

The downgrade "AI select" takes very long because of the animation/effect, it can't select precisely and I can't even see the "extract text" button sometimes, very inconvenient
