Hey all,
I just made an account to ask a few questions lol.
I was previously looking on the notification forum so hopefully, my question on that gets answered there. On the other hand, I've found that my screen is not really doing what I want it to.
For starters, my screen isn't as vivid as my (now dead) A53's was, it's actually significantly less vivid. Colours appear... off? It's kind of difficult to describe other than it seems like there's a matt filter being put on the screen, making all the colours muted. Changing the display settings around doesn't seem to do anything, and it's currently in vivid making absolutely no difference.
Secondly, the eye comfort shield won't save the settings I put into it. There's no save button so I assume the options should be set automatically but nope! Every night I've been having to go into settings and change it from adaptive -> custom, set schedule -> always on, colour temperature as warm as the slider will let it go (all the way to the right). Does anyone know how to make it so that I don't have to do this every night, but it'll just stay the way it is normally? I have my sleep mode come on every night and that triggers the eye comfort shield to come on so maybe that messes with it? I haven't noticed it in the past so I'm not sure why it would start changing the temperature rather than just turning it on and off and leaving the settings to how I had previously set them (my A53 used to do this perfectly).
If anyone has any tips, tricks, recommendations, or anything on this, please let me know!
Thanks!
Note: I have a Galaxy S24 256 in Silver

The S24 series is trying to have more natural colours. However, vividness setting can be changed to make it more vivid.
Settings -> Display -> Screen mode -> Vivid -> Advance settings -Vividness and slide to the level you like.
Advance settings only shows if Vivid mode is selected and Settings -> Display -> Screen mode -> Adaptive colour tone is toggled off

Hey @Reylob
Thanks for the info on the screen vividness! It does seem more natural that way but my personal preference and experience lean more towards more vivid colors. I tried it out and it seems to be better. Thank you!
Do you have any ideas about the eye comfort shield?
Thanks!

The eye comfort shield settings remain on my phone, they are saved automatically. When do the settings reset themselves?
The sleep mode might be the culprit. I would suggest to remove the eye comfort shield from the sleep mode and see if it happens. You could also try clearing the cache from the settings app.
Settings -> Apps -> Settings -> Storage -> Clear cache.
And for good measure, you could also clear the cache of the phone.

I figured it out. There's actually a setting in the sleep mode that adjusts the eye comfort shield separately from when you do it through the display settings.
settings -> digital wellbeing -> bedtime mode (at the bottom) -> other actions -> eye comfort shield (make sure it's added and on) -> tap on it to adjust the eye comfort shield settings through there for when the sleep mode comes on.
This is the setting for eye comfort shield that will be used every time the sleep mode comes on, it will overwrite any manual changes to eye comfort shield you may make in display settings.
As for the Vividness, I tried out what @Reylob said earlier and it worked so I'd recommend using that ( @Suz24 )
