Hello, I had very bad situation couple days ago. I went to Sweden for ice hockey world championship, Sunday was my last day. When I woke up Sunday morning my phone was locked for next 8 hours due to excessive attempts to unlock phone using password. Basically, while walking home Saturday night phone was trying to unlock in my pocket several times, because of that I had message on the screen that phone is locked and I wasn't able to use it and no chance to unlock. The problem was that my and my friend's tickets were on the phone, same as I wasn't able to to flight check in. I was shocked that I'm not able to use my device completely. I got to go to airport much earlier and for the check-in had to pay €55 per person. My day was ruined!
Even now I can't find option to remove such protection from my device. I don't want to get the same problem one more time. What can I do?

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!

I don't believe you can turn that off. What you can do is:
Settings > Display > Turn on accidental touch protection.
Under that, you'll also see "Touch sensitivity"—turn it off.

My hour-long time lock is on for changing my lock settings, but I also believe you can change it from PIN to password.

To turn on the accidental touch protection would be a good start.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum

So, you can't turn off the security feature but you can turn off accidental touch protection.

Hi, on my device accidenal touch protection always switched on, but I had sensitivity on, now switched off.
Thanks for replying. Just can't believe that my phone isn't working on me for such long period, and even in my hands it is absolutely unresponsive. I've seen messages coming thru but unable to do anything. Luckily knew my wife's phone number, called her from friend's phone as she was asking am I alive :smiling-face:
Wasn't able to login to airline app from friend's phone as double authentication was coming to locked device.

Hey, accidenal touch protection was always on for me, but somehow still managed to press on screen million times in the pocket. Only already in the plane phone unlocked as 8 hours passed.
