Dark mode overwrites themes

This is so frustrating! Paying for a theme, but if you have dark mode on, it completely overwrites the theme colour settings. So what's even the point of themes? And I feel like a fool paying.

Samsung should have the dark mode optimized and not leave it to the creators. The lack of personalization in dark mode it's so irritating. I can't even change the color of icons from white to a colour in settings. Why?

Some apps can be changed manually to a dark theme, but many don't have this option or the phone settings just stay white, including the edge panels.

Am I missing something in the settings?

Why is Samsung not changing this? It's been an issues for years.

Hi @Rhea4

Dark mode is a theme. You overwriting a theme with another theme. I think that it is the desired effect.

I think that it is up to the theme creator to consider whether they implement how their theme will look on dark mode.

Dark mode is not a theme.. it is a mode. A setting that should make your current theme darker, not completely overwrite it and changing the color palette.

I don't think dark mode should touch anything that themes change I have a dark theme and it gets ruined by dark mode. I need dark mode on to keep all my apps in dark mode as some don't have the option to make it independent of device
