Charging port

Hi all had my phone for three weeks now. After the first week my official charging cables do not charge the phone. I now have to use after market cable. Even then it is a hit and a miss if it stays connected. Has anyone else had this issue? Cheers Andy

I'm assuming you've visually checked your USB C port and check it was free from lint etc? Otherwise as other pointed you should raise that with Samsung Support, I've personally never had that but my wife's devices always end up being like that because the way she charge her phones with the cable pulling on the port, probably loosening it over time.

Hi Andy, I have the same issues to the point it won't charge usb-c to usb-c anymore. Phone is in for repair Sunday. If you read these forums and reddit, there are tons of threads all discussing the same thing. I haven't had any luck fixing the issue and it is starting to put me off continuing with the s24 despite years of bring really happy with different Samsungs

Hi thanks for the reply. I will have a read up on it. I was told on the phone today that I am still within the 30 days so might get a replacement phone. Will find out tomorrow when I phone back. Cheers Andy

Just to be sure, but are you using a case by any chance?

Yes I am. Ment to post yesterday I have been told to return the phone. Once received they will send me out a replacement. Cheers Andy

Have you tried charging it without the case, just ensure the cable is attaching securely. I have the official Samsung Vegan case which came with my phone and I find it does not charge with a third party cable I bought due to the case.

Hi it was a 3rd party case. Never got one with it. There was plenty of room for charger to fit. Turns out it's a fault with the phone. Sent it away today. And then wait for a new one. Cheers Andy
