Hi everyone,

Hoping someone can help with this issue before I pull my hair out.

Got a new s24 in December, it charged fine for a couple of weeks and now it cycles between not charging at all on a wired charger and charging sporadically on a wired charger. It will sometimes charge when connected to Samsung chrome book. Sometimes for the hell of it, I'll get a moisture detected notification thrown in there (there is no moisture or lint). This all happens when using Samsung plug and Samsung usbc cable, or any other type of usbc cable and plug I have (I have tried MANY).

I've followed all the steps on the troubleshooting list and still no joy.

The puzzling thing also is that the reason I got this phone was because my s21 started having this exact issue and my partners phone (s24) also started doing the same thing. I can't help but think it's the 6.1 update that caused the issue. Any ideas or suggestions beyond the troubleshooting guide would be so much appreciated!!

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!

If you've already tried clearing the ports and using different chargers, etc.,

the only thing I would suggest is, if you think it was an update, try clearing the cache. Turn off your phone. Ensure the USB connector is not in use (connecting it to a PC may help). Hold the Power and Volume Up buttons. When Samsung appears, release only the Power button. When the blue screen appears, release the Volume Up button. On the following screen, use the volume keys to select "wipe cache partition" and confirm with the Power button. Select "Yes" and confirm again. Finally, select "reboot system now."

If that doesn't work, I would contact Samsung directly.

Have you tried running a diagnostic test from the members app?
