I cannot connect to my works open WiFi network. It just says connection failed every time. I've tried all of the steps I could find online to fix this (including a very similar thread on here) but nothing works.

It's not the network as others can connect fine and it worked for me yesterday on my s21+. Pretty crazy problem for a brand new phone!

Yes at my work. It immediately fails. This is a public/open connection which seems to be a common complaint for  the s24 ultra.

Often there is a security addition to work wifi. For example every time I change my phone I need to tell my company the phone mac code so that they can add to their approved device list.

So I would first check with your IT department to see if there are any security steps needed.

Your old phone may work because it was registered previously... as well as your colleagues.

If it isn't an approval / security issue then it sounds strange.

I haven't had a chance to test any other open networks yet, but it works fine on my home wifi.  Once I click the network it just says "connection failed". I've tried forgetting the network and reconnecting, it takes a moment to try again then back to "connection failed".

I've tried turning Wifi 7 off, the reset wifi/bluetooth setting, turning secure wifi on and off, even a factory reset. No change.

I've submitted a ticket to see if there's anything they can do on their end!

My company's tech support has been completely useless in helping this issue. I don't suppose anyone else who's had this issue has resolved it yet?
