Hi all, I must be missing something here, but I can't seem to display my main Google contacts group in the Samsung dialer or Contacts app. To be honest, I'm sure it must be possible, just will hidden (like the "display contacts without numbers" option). So far I can only seem to create a label and filter on that, otherwise I get all contacts lumped together which is not useful.
Any help appreciated!

Hello @Members_jPslqD5 and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋
This may help > How-to-sync-contacts-to-your-google-account-and-view-the-synced-contacts/
And Google Dialer ~ Playstore.
From a Google Search >
To display Samsung Contacts and Google Contacts together, you can sync your Samsung phone's contacts with your Google account:
Open the Contacts app
Tap the Menu icon (three horizontal lines)
Tap Manage contacts
Select Sync contacts
Tap the switch to activate your Google account
Tap Sync to start syncing
Once synced, your contacts will automatically sync as long as you're connected to the internet.
To view your synced contacts on Google, you can:
Go to the Google website in a web browser
Sign in to your Google account
Tap your Profile icon
Tap Manage your Google account
Tap People and sharing and select Contacts
You can also manually sync your Google Contacts with your device by:
Opening your device settings
Tapping Google
Tapping All services
Tapping Settings for Google apps
Tapping Google Contacts sync
Tapping Status
Turning Google Contacts sync on or off
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Thanks for the information, but the information was not helpful unfortunately. You also link to the Google dialer, which if I read this right basically means, just use a different dialer...
Just to clarify, I can sync my Google contacts, however, 2 things appear not to be possible:
1. In Google, when you go to your contacts, there is a default group, just called contacts (I think it might have been called my contacts in the past). This is the default contract list. As far as I can see, it is not possible to view just this default contract group
2. Apart from the default contract group, you can create what are called labels and put contacts into those groups. I can actually select these groups (in the contacts app only and NOT the dialer) so I thought this might be an option, however, I can not select this in the dialer. I get all contacts, no options to filter the list... Seriously?!?
I have searched quite hard now and I think this is just a limitation of the standard dialer in Samsung (I also don't understand why they had to even have a separate contacts app that has a few extra options they could easily have put also onto the dialer... The only option truly seems to be, to just use the Google dialer, or some third party dialer. I don't want to be harsh but honestly, this is just terrible... Please tell me I'm missing something...

@Members_jPslqD5: I have looked into this for you, and I can confirm that it is not possible to group contacts via the Phone app's Contacts tab. You do have the option of heading to the dedicated Contacts app > Tap the 3 lines in the top left > Tap the rectangular button at the top of the pop-up window > Select 'Google', and this will show all contacts that are saved to your Google account. If you tap on a contact, then the options to call, message or video call can be accessed from here. I understand that this isn't ideal, and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Thanks for the replies. I mean, this is a pretty massive oversight. I'm getting the feeling that Samsung want you to use their contacts system and store up to Samsung cloud maybe. I assume it works better then, but since they are basically a partner of Google, I can't understand how the default behaviour can be how it is. Combined with a bunch of other issues, I have to admit that overall I have been a bit disappointed with Samsung...
