Thanks for suggesting, didn't work for me though. Have sent three more reports to Samsung with lots and screen recording.

Hi - if anyone is interested - this problem is now fixed / not happening anymore. My phone still says One UI 7.0 software, but I believe there may have been a patch / mini software update on 2 July that has fixed this (very annoying) problem for me.

I just got the same problem. All of my photos taken from today are still under 'refinement' and I see that the AI has been processing them for 3 hours and counting. I can't even use the photos for anything. This is very annoying. Anyone with suggestions how to fix it?

I reported to Samsung with error logs, that might help you. To stop the issue (right now) need to go to settings, apps, camera, force stop. Then it will stop refining and can use camera again, but not night mode. But for me, it now doesn't have the refining problem anymore after a software update... So maybe try to see if there is a software update available? I'm using Fold6.

I had this problem the last two days. I went into my phone settings. Camera app, scrolled down and reset camera. Problem seems to be resolved. 🤞

I faced one more issue after "refining picture", my photo disappeared after that. Anyone face same issues?

Not sure if you're still having this issue, but I was able to resolve this issue by following all the steps here (clearing cache, resetting the camera, turning off the scene optimization) AND then immediately after restarting my phone.
When I followed all the other steps w/o restarting, it didn't work. Once restarted, I was able to turn on scene optimization again without any issues
