Camera "refining picture"

Anyone else have the new OneUI7 bug where if you take a photo, it shows "refining picture" in a notification then never finishes? I've reset the camera and the gallery app, no settings make any difference. Images dont appear in the file mananger and cant be shared with other apps. Details dont appear in Gallery either.

The camera at this point is unusable.

Somehow it resolved after I restart it yesterday. Before that, I did all the steps and restarted my phone multiple times but I was still having same issues.

I added a hard restart to the list. Fixed mine!!!

Mine just got settled by turning off (not restarting) my phone and turning it back on. Hope it stays away. It began about 24 hours ago when I woke up to a beautiful orange moon. I needed a picture and video NOW! It was dark and I couldn't find my glasses (later realized my do not disturb was on so was my alarm...) so I tried to find my camera app blind. I prob did something illegal lol. The rest is a mystery, needless to say I didn't get my shot. "Refining picture" notification was on all day yesterday and this morning.

I just woke up to ANOTHER orange moon. The notification was still there, but my camera worked anyhow. Then I found this string where you wonderful people are trying to fix this annoying bug.

I faced similar issue, today morning after  i took a photo and closed the camera app, i was seeing the 'refining picture' notification was going on for 2 hours, i tried clearing cache but didn't work, so i opened the recently taken picture, and one of the image didn't get refined properly, and i went to that image it got refined and the notification was gone. You could try the following,

1. Move out the recently taken pictures into another folder 

2. Try turning off power saver if turned on for sometime to see if it works, because power saver could limit/halt background operations 

3. Exclude Gallery and Camera app from being closed or put to sleep by your phone under 'Memory>Memory resident apps'

4. Open each photo under Camera folder and try scrolling through incase any one of the image didn't get refined properly
