The camera has some sounds when the phone is shaken which is ofc because of the OIS but even when recording if the phone gets shaken the camera records the noise which makes the footage unusable, annoying tbh.

      Hi,
Is it absolutely necessary to 'shake' the camera when recording?

      Hi.

Are you on the latest build? As the camera voices were fixed for some in the update.

Also the OIS as far as I know is only on the 5x so if you are shooting with other lenses there is a possibility it may wobble when not engaged or used.

Tell me which other phone other than Samsung makes noise while recording? And there could be cases where your phone will naturally shake ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Okay i have tried what u said and yeah in 5x there is no sound which confirms that ois on 5x makes the noise when not used.

I would imagine the level of shaking required so as to be captured by the microphone would have to be quite violent. Therefore, I'm asking is it unavoidable. Is there any way you can minimise the shaking. Unfortunately, the cameras stabilisation system does make a noise when in use (and even when not). Mine does, but it's never manifested itself on any of my videos audio.

I understand what u mean, it does make noise when the main camera is in use which also has OIS but once switched to the 5x the noise isn't there, which explains the wobbly sound is from the 5x lense, software wise it's possible to make the noise stop right when the video mode is open no matter what lense is being used

I can only hear mine making noises when really shaking the phone, which I wouldn't want to see the video footage off anyway lol. Is it possible to upload a video of this to maybe see how much shake you're talking about? Whenever I record a video I try my best to be a smooth and steady as possible, not to avoid the lense rattling but to make it nicer to watch the footage.

Hi, i know the phone won't be necessarily shaken like that but with any other brands shaking phone like that wouldn't have any noise plus it did make noise just with normal shakes which can heard if the place is quiet but the noise would be that of the 5x lense which stops when switched to it
