Call Assist Auto Detect Language

Can Samsung Please have the Call Assist be able to Auto Detect the Language of the Caller so the person don't have to go through the settings during to call to switch the Language just so they can understand the Caller and have the Language Translated for the Correct Language.

What happens when You set Your Language to English and the other Language to Spanish? All of the AI Translations System wide are All set to Spanish. 

When You recieve a Call and the other person don't speak English or Spanish but they do speak one of the other Languages that are supported right now and more to come, the AI should be able to understand the other person and be able to switch the Language to the other persons language which is one that's supported.

Set the Language that You Speak and have the Call Assist either set to just one Language or set to Auto Detect would be Great to be able to have as an Update when a Monthly Patch is given.

If Anyone or Everyone who agrees with this then Please Reply so Samsung can see the Interest for this so Samsung can Fix this with a Monthly Patch Soon.

That is an interesting proposition. However, that will imply downloading all available languages, that most user will not be interested on. I would not like my storage to be filled with languages that I do not need. Of course, that could also work if the AI translation is done remotely, which requires internet connection and the sticky business of privacy.

I rather focus in getting the functionality more refine. I tried live translation and it was not very well. The AI translated what was said, but kept on talking to the point that I could not stop laughing.

Some people either do not use up too much space on their phones or have opted to get the 1TB like I have so I can Future proof from running out of storage.

Also, not everyone is worried about the need for an internet connection.

If You are worried about either, then don't download the Language Packs and If Samsung sets the Call Assist to be able to Auto Detect the Language in the Settings, then don't choose that for Your Phone.

I got the 1TB as well and not worried about storage or internet connection. However, I think I did not explain myself.

The point that I was trying to make, it is that if AI feature is done remotely, internet connection is mandatory, either WiFi or mobile data. In the UK both can be problematic even in the cities. If done on the phone, then storage is required.

1TB seems a lot of space, but in a digital era, it is not. A few films, music and videos will use a reasonable amount of storage. Then there are the other capabilities of the phone, 200 MP photos, HDR video, 8K video, all of those will fill the storage. Steaming apps that will allow you to download material for offline viewing.

There no way of future proofing technology.

I am not against doing the auto detecting, but it is not as simple as it may seem.

Samsung Needs to Improve Both Fuctionality and Refinement.

Your Choice is Your Choice. I have Downloaded ALL Language packs and I have over 200 Apps, Pictures, Videos and Documents all on My Phone.

The Videos take up ATM 79.8GB, Images take up 2.26GB Documents take up 681MB, Audio takes up 89.06MB, Apps take up 41.62GB and others take up the rest. I'm using up just about 14% of My Storage ATM.

I'm currently using ATM 151GB out of 1TB and I'm NOT Worried about installing More and Future Language Packs like You are.

This is NOT a Tit-For-Tat Conversation.

This is a Matter for Samsung to Address.

Unless You Work for Samsung as a Programmer then Your Opinion is just that, Your Opinion that You are More than entitled to but that still don't Fix the Issue of Why I posted the OP in the first place.

I am very happy for your good storage use and that you are not worried about installing future language packs.

Please note that you are posting on the Community forum, where Samsung’s products owners try to get help form other owners. This is not Samsung support. If you wish Samsung to address a particular issue, you might have more success using the feedback on the Members app.

I have been polite with my comments to avoid personal or confrontational debates, but please do not assume to know how I feel or what worries me.

I am not a Samsung employee in any capacity. My opinion on technology doesn’t fix any issue but it is an informed opinion. Improving and adding functionalities do not happen overnight.
