Bluetooth issues

Some time ago my S24+ stopped reconnecting with my BMW on bluetooth when I drive. I have tried deleting/unpairing and reconnecting them but it hasn't helped. Several software updates have been and gone on my phone but it hasn't been fixed. If I select the car from the bluetooth devices listed on my phone when I get in it the connection is made but for audio only, my contacts are unavailable unless I unpair and reconnect the devices, which is a bit of a pain to do every journey.

Used to work fine and the wifes iPhone reconnects flawlessly every time she is in the car.

Has anyone got any suggestions? Its very frustrating.

I have the opposite issue, phone only no automatic audio, I have to go into bluetooth, "details" and select connect to get it to connect to the audio and I have to get it at the optimum moment(every time I use the car), but I have a SEAT and found that using the phone BT option on the car entertainment console to pair works better than selecting the car on the phone(I assume your car is fancier than mine so might be different, but worth a try) or entertainment BT option. None of my other android phones have ever had issues connecting with phone and audio and it's the one thing I really hate about my samsung, hence every now and then I will go to a different phone.

Hi, just thought I'd let you know that I've done something on my phone zFlip5 which seems to have fixed it, at least it's worked for the last few days just fine. I looked in the Bluetooth menu on phone and it says that there's a piece of Samsung software called SmartThings which has some control over connections. I deleted SmartThings and everything seems ok for me now. Connects in seconds, gets contacts, and prompts to start android auto. Weird. Good luck. Mike

I removed the SmartThings app from my S24+ and sadly there has been no change to the issue.
