That's a very peculiar camera issue you're having with your S24, @amyleigh2610. If you haven't already tried to do so, please clear the cache and data of the Camera app. This will not remove any files from your phone, it will simply give the app a restart and remove any corrupted data.
Please follow the steps below to do this:
> Go to "Settings".
> Tap "Apps".
> Search for "Camera" and select it.
> Tap "Storage".
> Tap "Clear cache", located on the bottom right of your screen.
> Tap "Clear data", located on the bottom left of your screen.
Please could you let me know how you get on? Many thanks.

Could you give us an example on screenshot or a real time picture?
Also does it reacuring issue where it fades away and it stays for x amount of time?
Does that appears on the pictures or just the screen while you trying to take pictures?
If you can upload any samples we could see more in depth issue if its showing just on your screen or its just on yours and if it's hardware issue or just a simple fix.

Have you checked if your camera lens inside is clean and has no damage using flashlight?
It does seem like something on the camera lens inside.
You could follow the reset camera settings and restart your phone as suggested and see if that works. Other thing to try :
Open pro raw mode and take picture see if any better, download camera assistant app from galaxy store toggle option shown in attached screenshot.
Other question i have is that become recent problem or it was from the beginning?
It seems it might be hardware issue so you might get in touch with samsung repairs you can find in app under support section > request service
