S24 plus has stopped charging through the adapter/plug but is charging through the power bank - using the same cable - I don't understand why this is happening someone please help?

Are you charging the power bank with the same charger that you are trying to use to charge the phone? If not, it could be a faulty charger. Try testing with something else.

yes same charger to charge the power bank and that's working fine too ... hence why I'm confused why it has suddenly stopped charging my phone

Does not make sense. I would try using another cable if you have one.

yes have tried different cables but same issue repeating really doesn't make any sense .. this issue only started yesterday

Tried it on a wireless charger?

Try clearing the USB cache

Settings>Apps. Tap sort icon (1st screenshot). Toggle on Show system apps, tap done (2nd screenshot). Scroll down to USBSettings and tap on it (3rd screenshot). Tap Storage and tap Clear Data and Clear Cache (4th screenshot).

Try a hard reset

With the device powered up, Hold the Volume down button and Power button simultaneously for 10 seconds. The screen will go off. Continue to hold buttons until the device vibrates and the Samsung logo appears. Release buttons. Device will reboot. Once done, please check if the issue is resolved.

Try clearing cache partition

Plug into a working PC or laptop or other Samsung device

tried both methods but no result ...

did phone update 2 days ago so it is coinciding with that possibly, but how could that be the reason?

I am going to try and get a replacement adapter if possible as only bought this one in June 😞

Dunno. Ultimately, you could factory reset. Back up important data if needed.

Also, try reaching out to Samsung using your Samsung members app, head to the Support section and tap on Error Reports.

thanks for the advice .. I'm going to try and get a replacement adapter as just tried my s21 one and that seems to be working with the same cable ... but still don't understand how the adapter is charging the power bank and not my phone .. some weird glitch
