Anyone not happy with Screen on time on your s24 ultra,Please comment. I'm only getting maximum 5 hour sot on full potential. Do you have any info to make it better?(please dont tell put resolution in fhd, refresh rate to 60hz etc ,i didn't spent this much for not limiting my phone's potential for its s****y battery ).Why is battery draining so fast even at moderate use? It's been over 20 days I've using my s24 ultra ,and I don't think phone is still in learning phase. I'm currently in Qatar and I ordered my phone in pre sale through samsung official site, but phone shipped all the way from Dubai, now my warranty and my samsung care plus subscription is only valid in Dubai...what the hell !!

I'm so confused.Used to make fun of Iphones, but now I understood why I phones are still I phones... customer support and credibility.

Hi @Thejj

I'm also in the mind that I don't want to turn off features that I want to use on my phone.

Yes your phone should be out of the learning phase and I assume you've charged and discharged your phone a few times so the battery reaches optimum output.

Have a look in your Device Care Section under Battery to see what's using your battery.

Utilise sleep and deep sleep options for apps that are resource heavy such as social media apps which are known as vampire apps.

Low network signal and 5G can also use resources.

Use the optimisation tool found in your Device Care Section too.

A known help is to > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.

Battery stats is a subjective topic as we all set up our phone's differently and use them differently and use different apps.

Sometimes using Smartswitch to move info from one phone to a new kne can cause issues.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate to ask.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

SOT is a poor way of measuring battery life. Something YouTubers used to use before they realised that it's a pointless way as everyone uses their phones differently and what they have installed on their phones.
I don't use any battery saving options as like you I paid a lot and want to use all the best stuff on the phone
Still I can get 2 days from a charge at relatively normal to heavier usage
As has been said. So called vampire apps like Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube etc
They will draw battery even when you are not using them.
Signal strength is another thing as well as 5G uses a surprising amount

I have used all these VAMPIRE APPS in my previous phones with much smaller battery and all those phones didn't drain battery like this phone do.I don't think we can blame the VAMPIRE APPS for a s****y battery

Hi, @Thejj. There are so many things that you can do to significantly boost the battery life of your phone (even though the battery life on the S24 Ultra should be excellent).

In addition to what has been suggested already, I think it would be a good idea to get a better understanding of how your phone is configured and what might be contributing to your battery consumption.

Please could you confirm whether you are using a Samsung official charger/power adapter, or whether you have tried any other cable with your S24 Ultra?

Also, I think it would be a good idea to allow the phone to drop below 50% from a full charge, and then upload/attach a screenshot of the Battery activity.

To find this, head to Settings >  Battery > View details > Scroll down to see the list of apps/processes using the battery > Screenshot this screen.

Hello, I am somewhat having the same problem here but I wanted ask you a question to see what your thoughts may be. I received my phone (S24U) on the 2nd of Feb, I have completely charged it to 100% about 2x but not let it die to 0%. Should I / Will it 'calibrate' still if i do that process of charging fully and discharging to 0% fully to extend my battery life? I hope it makes sense and please get back to me. Thank you.

Various OEM's have different was to conserve battery life.
Normally restricted background usage that's baked into the software.
Chinese phones are some of the worse for it. Was one of my main bugbears about Huawei and Honor.
Google do it with the Pixel as well. Although no where near as bad.
For me personally. I prefer the way Samsung has it and even when not usi and the phone for a while.im still getting my notifications.
Rather than when I pick the phone up and get a lot of notifications in one go.
It really annoys me when I don't get my email notifications quickly, especially if they are really important ones.

Yes you get a bit more battery life usage. But if it bothered me I would go into the app permissions and change things.

But the fact I have everything on and can still get a couple of days. That's great for me.
Even on my heavy usage days, my phone will get me through a day

I'm using  a samsung 45w charger and I have never used any other chargers, does factory reset works? If didn't how can I claim the warranty since I'm at Qatar and phone shipped from Dubai?

With you being based in Qatar, we would recommend contacting Samsung Qatar to discuss your warranty situation in further detail. Here in the UK, we use a European warranty which covers the European region. It might be a similar situation where you are.
