Has anyone experienced issues with their apps since installing the latest software update?

My comments are not loading on Facebook and my AOL app disappeared.

Any tips on how to resolve this would be appreciated. I have uninstalled Facebook etc and still not working.

Thanks very much

Try force stopping the app and clearing it's cache. If you don't know how to do that. Settings, apps, find the app, force stop, storage, clear cache. Usually fixes strange app issues.

Though with you saying a reinstall didn't fix it. Have you tried reboot or using mobile data?

Thank you so much for your reply. I tried that and unfortunately it did not work. I am currently using mobile data as I am at work.

Hello 👋 @JCherie

When an app is uninstalled then it is still in the PlayStore MyLibrary.

Delete it from there too to then download a fresh copy.

Some generic troubleshooting steps are >

  • First turn the phone Off and On i.e a Soft Reboot, but if that does not help then follow this by trying a forced reboot by holding down the volume down key and power button simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it. When your phone resets, you will feel it vibrate.
  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port or a usb-c to usb-c phone to phone set up to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

Lastly as a last resort back up and factory reset but don't use any back up to set the phone back up. Manually set it up instead.

May I suggest to perform a forum search as you may find already existing threads with help and advice within.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
