AOD App icons

Why have all the colored app icons e.g WA become white on the S24 Ultra? How do I change them back to coloured icons?

You may of turned on Colour inversion. Not sure where it is on S24. Mine S23 is in the quick settings panel which you pull down from main screen.

It's annoying is it? I think it's a design choice by Samsung, one that isn't helpful.

If you go in Goodlock, Lockstar you can change the colours. I did get excited because it seemed to have the option (no colour option) where it shows the app by the colour of it's brand, e.g green for WA, but when I selected it, it didn't work, but mess about with it, you might be able to get it to work for you.

I'll try that, but agree it's annoying. All these ways to personalise your phone but this simple design just removed. Frustrating.

Go to wallpaper and style and turn off the color palette. Long press the homescreen and some kind of menu shows up at the bottom of the screen.

I checked with Samsung service centre yesterday and they confirmed it's been a choice by Samsung. I asked them to pass on the feedback to the team, hopefully a patch on the way.

It's so annoying to have a premium phone in 2024 with a mono colour AoD like 2013.

With so much emphasis on customization it does seem strange that Samsung made this decision. Would like to know the rationale.

What I do not understand is that i get icon from 1 app in color, rest is white. So color is possible but dont understand how. Is it the way the app is made?
