I got an email from this address saying that my phone's been found. My phone that was stolen a few months ago. It had my phone's name included which is Xxxx 's s24 ultra. Not sure if it's legit, it has a button to click to see the location. I'm thinking it's a phishing email so haven't opened the link. Just wondering.

Looks like its fake, 99% of emails if not all will be from a Samsung.com domain, Have a look at this post: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/samsung-lounge/fake-email/td-p/10409879

The only thing is that every time I sign into my account on another device I get an email from this address: sa.noreply@samsung-mail.com so samsung-mail.com could be legit

I have, the samsung guy said that Google and Samsung members app seems to say it's fake. I don't find that very professional. Hence why I'm here.

Hi @hiomi and warm welcome 👋

The @samsung-mail.com domain is legit. Can you log into find app or
https://www.samsung.com/uk/apps/smartthings-find/?srsltid=AfmBOop-UiE3e3Uztm-T7D-g2OUnh5hmbPK5MlFAc3...

And see if the lost device is on there?

Hi @hiomi

Welcome to the community forum.

My default position is never to click on links from emails which I am not expecting.

Have tried opening The SmartThings App and try to find the device with the App?

If you are technically minded and are familiar with email, check if you can see the headers, raw message or message source. Depending on the email client it will be called differently, but it shows the all raw information of the email, where is was sent from, which server received it, reply to, etc. The email address looks legit, but  it could be a simple trick of using it as the name and it has a different email.

e.g. this.my.legit@email.net<my.fake@email.com>

In any case, clicking/opening the link might be enough to do something nasty on your phone.

Thanks! The stolen device is not there. It's only mentioned under my devices in my samsung account. I'm assuming it's been wiped.

This email was sent to me a week ago.

I had 2 phones stolen last year and none show on my smart things find. Only my current phone, my backup A15 (offline), my buds and watch.
