I hope Samsung fixes these issues with the MP modes.
Shot at 10x.
This is more of a bored at home shot and not an ideal subject I'd shoot. So take it with a grain of salt.

I'd prefer a 24MP mode instead of a 50MP

Currently the 12MP is the best to use.

It is hard to know without knowing what the real colour should be, but it looks like the 12MP has greater detail and better colour accuracy. I guess that you were using 5X optical zoom on all shots.

Interestingly, the 50MP and 200MP have similar settings a yet their colour rendition is quite different.

Exactly the colour science is all over the place .

The actual colour is way more darker then the bottom 200MP shot in this scenario.

Samsung sometimes just brightens up everything too much since the s21 series.

I find if you lower the exposure .5 or so you get better looking photos specially for portraits shots.

I am hoping that in the next the update these differences on colour saturation are sorted.

Samsung has a history of fixing stuff in one update and breaking it in the next so I won't hold my breath.

But all things aside I love the camera and where things are going.

I mostly use the 12MP which seems perfect ATM and the 5x is my current favourite for portraits which I am more interested in .

And for video 4k on lenses is gold.

The rest I can line it not being perfect.

Although I do envy the bokeh renditions of some of the competition.

I hear you, but to be fair to Samsung, breaking and fixing things on updates is a common problem for all software updates.

A few posts ago, someone posted that fix should be coming soon because it was a minor change. In reality, it is always complex because there are too many lines of code to content with, and different people doing the development. Even in "small" updates like BIOS or drivers there is always the chance that an update that fixes a problem causes another.

I agree, 12MP is providing the best results at the moment. I also think that Portrait mode does a better job than Photo mode even if I am not shooting a portrait. I also agree with the video 4K. It is quite good.

Some of the competition are doing way better on the camera department, but as longs as Samsung gets its act together and I am able to get decent results, I will be happy.

I took a Portrait of my dog and the bokeh is not bad but it looks like the dog was "added" into it. It does not look very "natural".

To be honest I haven't found the use or the 50mp and 200mp yet. The 12mp gives better results.. or maybe it's me that hasn't figured it out 😂
