Xiaomi Redmi 10 faster then my S23?!

It happens quite often that I scroll through facebook messenger chat and the scrolling is choppy when there is multiple photos. I think this is S frikin 23 so how can this not be smooth, especially when the resolution is even lower then it was on my S10? I have seen that this scrolling over photos in messenger chat however seems to be the same on my old S10 - meaning it stutters exactly the same way even where there is 4 years difference between those phones.

But what did I notice today really made me upset! My GF has super cheap Xiaomi Redmi 10 and it DOES NOT stutter at all when she scrolls over the same message in the same chat! The screen resolution is even slightly higher on this Redmi and still it handles this without any problem, unlike my shiny new 4x more expensive S23?! What a joke!
See the recording here - S23 is on the right side

I've looked at your uploaded video and yes on the face of it I can see the scrolling is smoother on the left hand phone.

I can't speak for the other make and model of phone as I have not used it.

I assume your data or Wi-Fi connection is exactly the same and both apps are the same build version.

I use Facebook Messenger on my Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra 512gb which has the 12gb of ram and it's as smooth as the phone on the lefthand side.

The only app I do see slight scroll stutter is the Twitter / X App.

Have you tried the generic troubleshooting steps of clearing the apps cache etc.

Also do please send feedback via your Samsung Members App so the right department can see your experiences with your Samsung phone.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

so I have now tested and indeed on my S10 it behaves the same when I scroll over this message with multiple photos, so I don't see how this can be related to the app cache. This is clearly problem or CPU/GPU or some incompatibility of Messenger app with Samsung OneUI. The photos are already loaded when I scroll back and forth a few times so obviously it's not related to a wifi connection either.

I have and idea - if we can connect via messenger, I would forward you this message with photos (there are more which do the same) and you can just record screen on your Ultra phone to see if there is any difference? If you are willing to do this test you can find me there under name Vítězslav Žurek and this is my photo

Seems like whenever there is 9 or more photos in one message, it always stutters. Can someone confirm it happens to them as well?
