We need to talk about SLock or S Secure for 23X

I wanted to share some feedback regarding the recent One UI 6 update on Samsung 23 models.

I've been a loyal Samsung user for years, and I appreciate the constant improvements and innovations you bring to your devices. However, I noticed that the S Lock or S Secure App Lock feature, which was previously available and very useful for securing personal data, seems to be missing in the latest update.

As someone who values data privacy and security, I find it inconvenient to rely on third-party apps from the Play Store for this essential functionality. It would be highly appreciated if you could consider reintroducing the S Lock or S Secure App Lock feature in the next update of One UI 6.

Having this feature back would not only provide users like me with a more secure experience but also save us the trouble of downloading additional apps and potentially compromising our data privacy.

I believe Samsung's commitment to customer satisfaction and data protection is unparalleled, and I hope you will take this suggestion into account for the betterment of your users' experiences.

The so called Alternative "Secure folder" is completely different from App Lock.

What functionalities do you want. I personally think this version is better than the previous one. And looking in depth this is no gimmick. It has the ability to secure your apps there, files there and images. Yes it is more like a second space but once you login and it's just you using the device which most of the time would be, you can use your locked files uninterrupted by password prompts. That is something I wished we needed back in those days. You can also hide the entire folder or mask it to be anything e.g gallery.
I don't see what you call a gimmick as this version is advance and mature. Can you be more specific about the kind of feature you are looking for?

Secure Folder is good but its still a parallel space, I don't like going into a folder to unlock apps, Also if i add so many apps in parallel space I have to compromise storage for eg if I have installed whatsapp, And you know how much data whatsapp can collect and store at times. This will happen to every app I install and secure in secure folder and I want to lock all of my apps thats the issue with secure folder

I completely agree with you!! S secure was the best app lock ever and I just can't trust ugly external app-lock apps running in the background, eating away my battery and data with pop-up ads while Samsung had a perfectly fine app lock which they discontinued for god knows why!! They may have exceeded in developing advanced features but a simple app lock they discontinued. BRING S SECURE BACK!!!

Samsung you need to listen to our opinions and be considered about them. We are all Samsung users for many years for a reason. The reason being that Samsung is one of the best brands out there which is always finding ways to improve and evolve. You guys have accomplished so much, so many advanced features, can't you just bring a simple app back? Please bring S Secure back into Samsung 🙏🏻
