For once with a night sky that's reasonably clear.
I thought I would break out the telescope and see what I could capture with the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
So first was the Planet Venus

Naturally you need to go into pro mode and adjust ISO and shutter speed.

In order to get a fairly usable photo, I had to use a high ISO. Think for this I picked 2500.
This is so I could use a faster shutter speed.

The S Pen I used as a shutter button. As zoomed in, any disturbance on the phone from touching it, would give a blurry photo.
So the S Pen mental I could stand back and capture the Planet.

Next we have the north pole star Polaris.
Or Polaris A is it's official name.
It's actually one of 3 stars. The other two are Polaris Ab and Polaris B.
With my setup, you can see Polaris A. The main Star. Polaris B is to the left and orbits around Polaris A, and is 240 billion miles away from Polaris A.
Polaris A is actually 6 times larger than our sun.
Polaris Ab is too close to Polaris A to see it passed the brightness of the main star.

Next week have tonight's Strawberry Moon.
This is making use of the 100X zoom camera.
The colour captured was when the moon was low on the horizon and had an orangy look.

But below are a couple using the telescope.

My first attempt at the Moon using x100 magnification and a steady hand. Sharpened using phone's adjustment. 20230529_215628_1000042757_1685400751.jpg20230602_210901_1000043094_1685736576.jpg

Great first effort 😁
The phone makes does a great job of capturing things like this
If you can get your phone on a tripod
In Expert RAW. You can do night sky long exposure as well, to capture the stars
