Hi All so since I've updated to 6.1 whenever I get a text message the icon that shows is just a head in a sim card shape where it was always a speech bubble anyone know how to change this? Thanks

Update and solution:

So, i updated One Ui to 6.1 yesterday and bug has fixed.

Now the entire ecosystem synced and you can change icons from (settings > connections > SIM manager > select sim > icone) and it's will apply to all units in phone.

They removed icon sim1 and sim2 (I wish they didn't), but you can use other new icons.

I do not think the issue is resolved or fixed. You are getting for text messages an icons from the SIM manager, and yes, you can change them to the one available in SIM manager. Before the change icon was from Samsung Messages app, the one with 3 dots, as per screenshot in my previous post.

Unless there are official comms from Samsung saying they are not using Samsung Messages app icon any more, this is a bug to be fixed.

When using Google Messages correct icon is showed, as per app icon. So this bug is with Samsung Messages.

I'm also experiencing this issue with Samsung phone, not Samsung messages only, what about u?

Latest update installed but issue still not fixed 😑 so still waiting.

I'm starting to think they were simply telling you what you wanted to hear saying it's fixed in an update

It looks like that latest UI update fixed the problem as texts received do have correct icon and now matching the samsung messages app icon.
