Has anyone else had a problem with their Samsung Smart case since the latest update? My case worked as it should and turned off the screen when closed and you could still see the clock in the gap at the top and notifications appeared there. Since the update yesterday it has not worked, I have tried everything I could find on Google but still can't get it to work. Phone Samsungs technical experts, the person on the phone said there are others with the same problem, but he had no idea if it was going to be fixed or how to sort it. So now I have a Samsung smart case that isn't very smart. Anyone got any ideas?

I would suggest to also let Samsung know this has happened via your feedback section in your Samsung Members App @HLH15

I have the smart view case and mine did this but I found it to be due to the hinge being too soft so the flap didn't close perfectly in line with the screen. If I nudge case front flap to perfectly match the screen it goes off as normal. I am presuming it's down to wear and tear on my case or maybe the new firmware is stricter with ensuring the case is closed? Hope this helps

No this isn't the case with mine have just tried it and it doesn't work even with nudging it. Also it is a newish case. And it stopped working the same time I did the update

Same here - the case won't lock screen or activate the screen when opened... Did you solve your issue?

Hi 

I have exactly the same problem with this case, as has my husband on his s24plus. I just had a chat with Samsung shop and there is no technical solution, the lady was not aware of this problem so she suggested returning the cases for a full refund.

At this point I am not convinced ordering an identical replacement is the answer. 

Poor for a pricey case!!!!

Took the phone out of the case and put it back in
Working again.... for now
